I would strongly recommend only starting with one business opportunity for at least the first year, so that you get any understanding of how the industry works to your advantage and then develop it if you wish after this time. I personally feel that if you choose the right home business opportunity to join in the first place, with multiple levels of commission from all your team members, you wont need to take on two business’s. I currently only have one Network Marketing home business which has INFINITY levels of commission payments, which I receive from every single person in my down-line team, which keeps growing and growing as members of my down-line introduce new people to the company. Therefore I am not looking to start any new business with other mlm companies, enabling me to concentrate on my training of new people to my team and down-line, so they get the very best results and income they can from this extra income business.

Always check the credibility of the ‘Mother’ company, some companies go beyond the bounds of fair recruitment practice and require start-up costs, that can not be justified and have little or no products/services beyond the recruitment process. In other words, they only make their money from your recruitment fee and nothing else, so the only money you will make is from other peoples recruitment fee’s! if that makes sense to you. These types of MLM business’s should always be avoided. You should source a company that has great credibility, so look into the background of the company if you can and look at its growth and success. If a company is showing to be very successful and still in its growth stage, then these are the types of companies that you will make the most income from. If your working with a successful company in its growth stage, you will be helping the growth of that company, which means you will reap the rewards as it keeps expanding and as more and more people join that company with their own home based business’, in your down-line. (Down-line is a term used to show people you or any of your team have introduced to the business. These are all the people that you will me making commission from)

When selecting your ‘Mother Company’ always think, who it is you can sell the product or service too, the broader the market, the better your chances of success are, and the more income you will make.

- Little start up cost compared to other business’s with the potential to build a substantial amount of income - Often uses a proven business formula. Your immediate sponsor or up-line should train you and help you every step of the way if you’ve joined a good business

- Low Risk - Flexible - can be run on a full-time or part-time basis - Highly Expandable - good companies will not put restrictions on territory - Business can be run from your own home - Builds your confidence and Increases your communication skills

Cons:

- There may be restrictions on your business practices eg. Recruitment and advertising - Your business heavily relies on the success of one ‘Mother’ company and its ability to deliver its products/services on time, so choose a good one! - You may not feel comfortable selling to your peers. (However, I train my down-line team to get leads without having to pressure your friends and families, which everyone hates, and usually looses you friends, as people try to avoid you, so you can find ways of avoiding this if you research other marketing techniques like I have with my team)
